Womens World Championships - Cancelled
30 Apr 2025
We regret to inform you that the Australian Polo Federation (APF) has received official notification overnight that the 2025 Women’s World Championship has been cancelled.
Due to ongoing political and institutional challenges in the host country, it is no longer feasible for them to proceed with the tournament this year.
We understand this news will be deeply disappointing for everyone involved. The APF would like to sincerely thank the players, coaches, managers, selection committee and support personnel for their dedication, commitment and the incredible effort they contributed to the journey so far. The standard of polo displayed during the selection matches was nothing short of exceptional—setting a new benchmark for women’s polo in Australia.
The Federation of International Polo (FIP) is currently exploring the possibility of hosting a Women’s World Championship in 2026, and we remain hopeful for renewed international opportunities ahead.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to the APF should you have any questions or concerns. We look forward to continued involvement as we pursue future national and international competitions.
