Australia Defeats France in Thrilling Women's Test Match

On Sunday, 5 April 2026, the French and Australian women’s teams went head-to-head in a superb Match, proudly representing their nations and showcasing exceptional talent on the field.
Each chukka was fiercely contested, with the scores remaining tight throughout the match. However, Australia found another gear in the fourth chukka, surging ahead to secure a 7–4 victory over France.

A standout performance saw Champion Pony honours awarded to Starburst, played by Phillipa Fitz-Henry. Owned by Alec White and bred by Belltrees, Starburst was presented with the APF rug in recognition of this achievement.
The Whitney Warren Memorial Trophy was awarded to France’s Billie Mascart for her outstanding contribution to the match.
