Full Details:
APF Call For Nominations APF Elected Directors 2026 2026 APF Elected Director Nomination Form

6 Nov 2026

Help shape the future of Australian polo

The Australian Polo Federation is seeking nominations for Elected Director positions to be considered at the APF Annual General Meeting in December 2026.

This is an opportunity to contribute to the governance and strategic direction of polo in Australia and help guide the sport through its next stage of development.

We particularly encourage women to nominate

As a recognised National Sporting Organisation, the APF is working towards the Australian Sports Commission's gender equity requirements for national sporting boards.

By 31 May 2027, the APF is required to achieve 50% representation of women and/or gender-diverse people on its Board, or as close as possible where the Board has an uneven number of Directors.

With Elected Director positions becoming available at the December AGM, these elections are an important part of the APF's pathway towards meeting that requirement.

We therefore strongly encourage suitably qualified women and gender-diverse members of the Australian polo community to consider nominating.

All candidates will be considered on their skills, experience and ability to contribute effectively as a Director of the APF.

Who are we looking for?

Candidates must be aged 18 years or over and reside in Australia.

The APF is looking for people who can bring strong leadership, sound governance and strategic thinking to the Board. Relevant skills and experience may include:

·        Board, committee or senior leadership experience

·        Corporate governance and risk management

·        Legal, accounting or finance

·        Business and senior management

·        Polo administration or elite polo experience

·        Strategic planning

·        Technology

·        Marketing, communications or government relations

·        Event management

·        Regional knowledge and experience

You do not need to meet every one of these areas to nominate. The APF is seeking Directors who can contribute their individual skills and experience while working constructively as part of the Board.

How to nominate

Nominations must be made in writing, proposed and seconded by two eligible APF members and accompanied by the nominee's written consent. The forms to nominate can be found on the APF website at:

Completed nomination forms should be emailed to apf@australianpolo.com.au

We encourage members who believe they can make a positive contribution to the future of Australian polo to consider nominating. Please nominate by 18th November, 2026
