Team V-Zug beat Wastecorp in the finals of the Australian Open played at Doomben in front of a crowd of over 3,000 spectators. Winning margin in Final was 11-10.

In the Subsidiary-final Mandalay beat Custodian by 9-8. Mandalay was K.L. Grimmond, M.C. Welsh, G.A. Gilmore and N.R. Bowen.
The Wallace Horsley Memorial Trophy for Champion pony was won by R.G. Ballard with “Hot Wheels’’ owned by Jo-Anne Reid.
