COVID19 Update

19 Jun 2020

In line with the recent easing of restrictions regarding community sport, APF is pleased to advise that polo may resume at affiliated clubs provided all events are held within the relevant State Government laws, health requirements and return to sport regulations. The Sport Australia Return to Sport Toolkit provides the State Associations & Clubs the required resources for a safe return to sport (the ‘how’), and the relevant State Government & Health Authority provides the ‘when’ of return to sport in each State.

The Sport Australia Return to Sport Toolkit procedures include:

- Safety plan template

- Simplified checklist

- Attendance register templates

- COVID19 safety coordinator role & responsibilities

- a link through to the Health Dept. good hygiene for COVID19

We ask that all State Associations and Clubs familiarise themselves with these procedures prior to polo resuming.

Please also note that under the new procedures, a COVID Safety Coordinator is required to be appointed by State Associations & Clubs and the Coordinator’s details submitted to APF. The COVID Safety Coordinator for the APF is Phil Dowling 0438 661192. He is available to assist State Associations & Clubs regarding any COVID related issues if required.

Regards

Stephen Philip

APF Chairman
