AUSTRALIAN POLO COUNCIL APPOINTS PR AGENCY

16 Feb 2012

The Australian Polo Council (APC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Style Counsel as its official PR agency.

An initial campaign will roll out over twelve months and will raise the profile of Polo in Australia. It will focus on Australia’s International Polo Teams playing locally and overseas.

“With the professional guidance of Style Counsel, the APC aims to bring Polo to the attention of all Australian sports enthusiasts and invite them to become part of this amazing sport – and in doing so, provide support for Australian teams so they can continue to compete in world wide events,” John Taylor, President of APC said.

Together, Style Counsel and the APC hope to engage with a broad audience from across the nation to bring Polo to the fore of our sporting aficionados’ mindset.

“We are thrilled to be working with the APC to assist in raising the profile of this magnificent and very exciting sport, ” Effie Young, Managing Director at Style Counsel says.

Polo incorporates many of the elements Australian sports fans enjoy – it is fast-paced and physical; a team sport that is played in some of the most picturesque locations in the country.

Although there is a number polo matches held in Australia throughout the year, there is no overarching competition.

Style Counsel aims to develop a national Australian Polo event for the sport’s national governing body, the Australian Polo Council.
