China Snow Polo Team Announced

The 14 goal team selected to represent Australia in the Metropolitan Polo Club International Snow Polo Challenge, China on 15th – 20th February 2011 is:

Dirk Gould 5g
Damien Johnston 5g
Ed Goold 4g

The APC have been advised that the minimum handicap for players is now 0 goals and are calling for nominations from players 0 goals & above:

The Australian Polo Council has been invited to send a representative team to compete in the Metropolitan Polo Club, China 14 goal inaugural International Snow Polo Challenge on February 15th – 20th, 2011 inclusive. The competition will played on snow in a 100 X 50 yard open ended field, with four foot high sideboards and three aside under HPA arena rules with international grade HPA umpires. The metropolitan Polo Club will mount all six teams evenly using the pull system.

The Metropolitan Polo Club will be covering the cost of return economy flights to China for three players and one team manager/coach, accommodation costs, RMB 1,000/day for meals and local transport costs/person. A retainer for each player is also being provided by MPC.

The Australian Polo Council is calling for nominations from players’ with a 0 goal and above handicap who wish to be considered for selection in the Australian representative team. Full details of international experience including any snow and arena polo experience should be included.
