CHINA SNOW POLO RESULTS

The 14 goal Australian team in the inaugural Metropolitan Polo Club International Snow Polo Challenge in China played 3 games between 15th – 20th February 2011. Glen Gilmore, Australian Coach/Manager reports:
The first game against Argentina - Juan Casero, Pablo Jauretche, and Santiago Gastambide was tough and Australia lost 6-3. One of the Argentines was very experienced playing on snow and the Australians were still getting used to the speed of the snow ball.
The second game was equally tough vs Hong Kong - Chevy Beh, John Fisher, Jose Donoso. Australia had a lot more chances to score goals but the expertise of Jose Donoso having played a lot on the snow showed, final score HK 6 v AUS 2.
The final game showed Australia's improvement as they drew with the Kiwis - Hugo White, Craig Wilson, Tommy Wilson, final score NZ 4 v AUS 4.
Congratulations to the team proving good ambassadors for Australian polo in China, an emerging market to sell horses and play polo in the future.
