Change of Name: AUSTRALIAN POLO FEDERATION

To support a drive to obtain a national sponsor for the Australian team, the APC sponsorship committee recently recommended that the Australian Polo Council change its name.
This recommendation was supported by Style Counsel (our appointed PR consultants) as they believed the word ‘Council’ portrayed an out of date image which would detract from future sponsorship proposals.
The Sponsorship Committee, along with Style Counsel, believes that a new name, together with new corporate branding will provide Australian Polo with a fresh and dynamic image that will generate greater commercial appeal.
After months of discussion with Style Counsel and segments of the corporate world, the Sponsorship Committee recommended a name change to ‘
Australian Polo Federation’.
Subsequently, at an Extraordinary General Meeting of the Australian Polo Council Ltd, held on the 9th July, the decision to change our name to Australian Polo Federation Ltd was unanimously agreed by the directors.
