Here are some words courtesy of Peter Prendiville regarding the passing of Peter Abisheganaden.
With enormous sadness I regret to inform you my good friend and FIPs great ally in South East Asia Peter Abisheganaden passed away today.
He was a passionate and committed advocate of FIP and wanted all the Countries in our region to engage in an inclusive program to promote youth , women’s and International polo competition in our significant part of the World.
He worked unpaid , tirelessly and inclusively to make a difference to the various Countries in Zone D of FIP including Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Australia , New Zealand , Japan China , Brunei, Phillipines and many others to engage with our common goal of bringing young people to enjoy our great sport and camaraderie that is polo .
He was instrumental in helping to govern the FIP Sydney World Polo Cup as well as many South East Asian Games over the years that came under the auspices of the International Olympic Committee with his good friend John Fischer and Dato Mohamed Moiz at his side . We send our condolences and love to his family of who he was so proud.
